DESCRIPTION
TGP Cefixime Film Coated Tablet 200 mg contains cefixime, a third generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible bacteria. Cefixime has broad spectrum activity against many gram positive and gram negative organisms.

USES
• Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:
o Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
o Urinary tract infections
o Ear, nose, and throat infections
o Uncomplicated gonorrhea
o Typhoid fever, as prescribed
• Management of infections where oral cephalosporin therapy is indicated

DOSAGE
• Adults: One tablet (200 mg) once or twice daily, depending on the type and severity of infection, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Duration of therapy is usually 5–14 days, depending on infection
• Tablets may be taken with or without food
