DESCRIPTION
TGP Gliclazide Tablet 80 mg contains gliclazide, a sulfonylurea class oral antidiabetic medicine. It works by stimulating insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells and improving peripheral insulin utilization, thereby helping reduce blood glucose levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

USES
• Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Helps control fasting and post prandial blood glucose levels
• Used when diet and exercise alone are insufficient
• May be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medicines

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually ½ to 1 tablet (40–80 mg) once or twice daily before meals, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Dosage is adjusted based on blood glucose response
• Maximum daily dose should not be exceeded as directed
• Regular blood glucose monitoring is recommended

PRECAUTIONS
• Not indicated for Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis
• Use with caution in elderly patients and those with renal or hepatic impairment
• Risk of hypoglycemia increases with missed meals, excessive exercise, or alcohol intake
• Inform the healthcare provider of all other medicines being taken
• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if prescribed by a physician

SIDE EFFECTS
