DESCRIPTION
IPSTAL Telmisartan + Hydrochlorothiazide Tablet 40 mg / 12.5 mg is a fixed dose antihypertensive combination medicine.
• Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting angiotensin II–mediated vasoconstriction.
• Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that helps reduce excess salt and water in the body.
Together, they provide enhanced and sustained blood pressure control compared with either agent alone.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on monotherapy
• Helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage related to hypertension

DOSAGE
• Adults: One tablet once daily, with or without food, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Dosage may be adjusted based on blood pressure response and clinical condition
• Not usually recommended as initial therapy unless specifically indicated by a physician

PRECAUTIONS
• Contraindicated in patients with anuria or severe renal impairment
• Use with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis, liver disease, or electrolyte imbalance
• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and serum electrolytes during treatment
• Not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, due to risk of fetal harm
• Caution in patients with dehydration or volume depletion
• Hydrochlorothiazide may increase photosensitivity
