DESCRIPTION
TGP Levetiracetam Film Coated Tablet 500 mg contains levetiracetam, an antiepileptic medicine. It works by modulating neurotransmitter release and stabilizing neuronal activity in the brain, thereby helping to prevent and control seizures. Levetiracetam has a favorable pharmacokinetic profile and is generally well tolerated.

USES
• Treatment of partial onset (focal) seizures
• Adjunct therapy for myoclonic seizures
• Treatment of primary generalized tonic clonic seizures
• Epilepsy management as monotherapy or add on therapy, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults and adolescents:
o Initial dose: 500 mg twice daily
o Dose may be increased gradually based on response and tolerability
o Maximum dose: as prescribed by a healthcare professional
Note: Tablets may be taken with or without food. Dosage should be individualized and adjusted by a physician.

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dose adjustment may be required
