DESCRIPTION
TGP Olmesartan Film Coated Tablet 20 mg contains olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. This action relaxes blood vessels, lowers blood pressure, and reduces strain on the heart and kidneys.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of cardiovascular risk associated with persistent hypertension
• Protection of kidney function in patients with hypertension, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 20 mg once daily; may be increased to 40 mg once daily depending on blood pressure response and medical advice
