DESCRIPTION
TGP Candesartan Tablet 8 mg contains candesartan cilexetil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to constrict. This results in relaxation of blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of heart failure in patients with reduced heart function
• Reduction of cardiovascular risk associated with persistent hypertension, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults (Hypertension): Usually 8 mg once daily; dose may be increased up to 32 mg once daily based on patient response
• Heart failure: Starting dose is usually lower and gradually increased under medical supervision

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment

SIDE EFFECTS
