DESCRIPTION
XYCLOVIRAX FORTE Aciclovir Tablet is an antiviral medication used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses. Aciclovir works by inhibiting viral DNA replication, thereby reducing the severity and duration of symptoms. It helps control the infection but does not completely eliminate the virus from the body.

USES
• Treatment of herpes simplex infections (oral and genital herpes)
• Management of herpes zoster (shingles)
• Treatment of varicella (chickenpox)
• Suppressive or episodic therapy for recurrent herpes infections
• Reduction of viral shedding and symptom severity

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Herpes zoster (shingles): 800 mg five times daily for 7–10 days
• Herpes simplex: 800 mg as prescribed, depending on indication
• Varicella: Dosage as prescribed by a healthcare professional
Tablets should be taken at evenly spaced intervals. Adequate fluid intake is recommended during therapy.
