TGP Carvedilol Tablet 25 mg
DESCRIPTION
TGP Carvedilol Tablet 25 mg contains carvedilol, a non selective beta adrenergic blocker with additional alpha 1 blocking activity. It works by decreasing heart rate and dilating blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the workload of the heart. Carvedilol also improves heart function and survival in certain patients with heart failure.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of heart failure as part of combination therapy
• Treatment of left ventricular dysfunction following myocardial infarction
• Helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Common dose: 12.5–25 mg twice daily, or as directed by a physician
• Take with food to reduce the risk of dizziness
• Swallow tablet whole with water
Dosage should be individualized based on patient response and tolerability.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not stop taking carvedilol abruptly; dose should be tapered under medical supervision
• Use with caution in patients with asthma or chronic lung disease, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, or kidney impairment
• May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients
• Use with caution in patients with bradycardia or low blood pressure
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Inform your doctor of all medications being taken
• Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended

SIDE EFFECTS
Possible side effects may include:
• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Allergic reactions
