DESCRIPTION
RIMEPRIL Glimepiride Tablet 2 mg contains glimepiride, an oral antidiabetic medicine belonging to the sulfonylurea class. It works by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin and by improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin, thereby helping lower blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

USES
• Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Helps control blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are inadequate
• Used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications (e.g., metformin or insulin)
• Helps reduce the risk of complications associated with uncontrolled diabetes

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual starting dose: 1–2 mg once daily, taken with breakfast or the first main meal
o Dose may be gradually increased based on blood glucose response, as directed by a physician
Swallow tablet whole with water.

PRECAUTIONS
