DESCRIPTION
TGP Clonidine Hydrochloride Tablet 75 mcg contains clonidine HCl, a centrally acting alpha 2 adrenergic agonist. It works by reducing sympathetic nerve impulses from the brain, which lowers heart rate and relaxes blood vessels. This results in decreased blood pressure. Clonidine is used in the management of hypertension and other conditions as prescribed by a physician.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Adjunct therapy for blood pressure control when other agents are insufficient
• Management of certain conditions as prescribed, such as:
o Hypertensive urgency
o Withdrawal symptoms (e.g., opioid or nicotine), under medical supervision

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual dose: 75–150 mcg daily, given in divided doses, or as directed by a physician
• Dosage is individualized based on patient response
Take tablets at the same time each day.
Swallow tablet whole with water. May be taken with or without food.
Do not stop treatment abruptly.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the prescribed dose
• Do not discontinue suddenly; abrupt withdrawal may cause rebound hypertension
