DESCRIPTION
ARCOXIA Etoricoxib Film Coated Tablet contains etoricoxib, a selective cyclo oxygenase 2 (COX 2) inhibitor non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID). It provides effective relief from pain and inflammation by selectively inhibiting COX 2, an enzyme involved in inflammatory processes, with less effect on COX 1 compared with traditional NSAIDs. The 90 mg strength is commonly used for inflammatory joint conditions requiring once daily therapy.

• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Chronic musculoskeletal pain and inflammation
• Other inflammatory conditions as prescribed
Not intended for the immediate relief of acute pain at this strength.

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 90 mg once daily
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms
Tablet may be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water.

PRECAUTIONS
• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic impairment, or established cardiovascular disease
• Use with caution in patients with hypertension, renal impairment, heart failure, or history of gastrointestinal disease
• Monitor blood pressure and kidney function during treatment
• Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs
• Not recommended during pregnancy (especially third trimester) or breastfeeding unless clearly prescribed
• Discontinue and seek medical advice if chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, or speech disturbance occurs

SIDE EFFECTS
• Headache

• Indigestion or abdominal discomfort
• Nausea
• Increased blood pressure
• Peripheral edema
• Rare but serious: cardiovascular events, renal impairment, severe skin reactions
Side effects are more likely with prolonged use or higher doses.
