DESCRIPTION
FISTERIDE Finasteride Tablet 5mg contains finasteride, a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor. It works by decreasing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for enlargement of the prostate. By lowering DHT levels, finasteride helps reduce prostate size and improve urinary symptoms.

USES
• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Helps reduce prostate enlargement
• Improves urinary flow and relieves symptoms such as:
o Difficulty in urination
o Weak urine stream
o Frequent or urgent urination
• Helps reduce the risk of acute urinary retention and the need for prostate surgery

DOSAGE
• Adults (Men): 1 tablet (5mg) once daily or as directed by a physician
• May be taken with or without food
• Take at the same time each day for best results
Symptom improvement may take several months of continuous use.

PRECAUTIONS
• For use in men only
• Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle crushed or broken tablets, as finasteride may cause abnormalities in a male fetus
• Consult a doctor before use if you have liver disease
• Regular medical follow up and prostate specific antigen (PSA) monitoring are recommended
• Inform your doctor of all medicines you are taking
• Not intended for use in children

SIDE EFFECTS
