DESCRIPTION
KASTIMON Meloxicam Tablet 7.5 mg contains meloxicam, a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis through cyclo oxygenase (COX) inhibition, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and swelling. Meloxicam has relative COX 2 selectivity, which may result in better gastric tolerability compared with non selective NSAIDs.

• Treatment of osteoarthritis
• Management of rheumatoid arthritis
• Relief of inflammation and pain in musculoskeletal disorders
• Symptomatic treatment of joint pain and stiffness

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual starting dose: 7.5 mg once daily
o Dose may be increased to 15 mg once daily if required, as prescribed
Note: Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary. Take with or after food to reduce gastrointestinal irritation. Follow the physician’s instructions strictly.

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal disorders (e.g., peptic ulcer disease)
• Increased risk of cardiovascular events with prolonged use or high doses
• Use with caution in patients with kidney, liver, or heart impairment
• Not recommended in patients with known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs
• Avoid use during the third trimester of pregnancy
• Elderly patients may be at increased risk of side effects
• Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs unless advised

SIDE EFFECTS
