DESCRIPTION
KASTIMON Meloxicam Tablet 15 mg contains meloxicam, a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis through cyclo oxygenase (COX) inhibition, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and swelling. Meloxicam has relative COX 2 selectivity, which may offer improved gastrointestinal tolerability compared with non selective NSAIDs.

• Treatment of osteoarthritis
• Management of rheumatoid arthritis
• Relief of pain and inflammation in musculoskeletal disorders
• Symptomatic treatment of joint pain, stiffness, and swelling

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual dose: 7.5–15 mg once daily, depending on clinical response
o Maximum recommended dose: 15 mg per day
Note: Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary. Take with or after food to minimize gastrointestinal irritation. Follow the physician’s instructions strictly.

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding
• Increased risk of cardiovascular events with prolonged use or high doses
• Use with caution in patients with kidney, liver, or heart impairment
• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to meloxicam or other NSAIDs
• Elderly patients may be at increased risk of adverse effects
• Avoid use during the third trimester of pregnancy
• Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs unless advised by a physician
• Inform the doctor of all other medications being taken

SIDE EFFECTS
