DESCRIPTION
KIDZKIT2 Rifampicin + Isoniazid + Pyridoxine Syrup is a pediatric antituberculosis (anti TB) combination medicine.
• Rifampicin and Isoniazid act together to kill Mycobacterium tuberculosis through different mechanisms, reducing the risk of resistance.
• Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is included to help prevent isoniazid induced peripheral neuropathy, especially in children.
The syrup formulation allows accurate, weight based dosing for infants and children who cannot swallow tablets.

USES
• Treatment of tuberculosis (TB) in children
• Part of combination therapy for drug susceptible TB, as prescribed
• Continuation phase or regimen specific TB management under national or WHO TB guidelines
• Prevention of Vitamin B6 deficiency during isoniazid therapy

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician or TB treatment program.
• Infants and children: Dosage is weight based and determined by a healthcare professional in accordance with standardized TB treatment guidelines
Administer using a proper measuring cup or syringe. Shake well before use. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

PRECAUTIONS
• For use only under medical supervision
• Regular monitoring of liver function may be required
• Rifampicin may cause orange red discoloration of urine, saliva, sweat, and tears (harmless)
• Use with caution in children with liver disease, malnutrition, or concurrent infections
• Inform the healthcare provider of all other medicines being taken due to possible drug interactions
• Do not stop treatment abruptly, as this may lead to TB resistance
• Use during breastfeeding only if prescribed

SIDE EFFECTS
• Gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain)
• Loss of appetite
• Elevated liver enzymes or hepatitis (rare, but important)
• Skin rash or itching
• Fatigue
• Peripheral neuropathy (reduced by pyridoxine)
Seek medical attention if there is persistent vomiting, jaundice, severe abdominal pain, or unusual lethargy.
