DESCRIPTION
MISARTAN40 Telmisartan Tablet 40 mg contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax and widen blood vessels by blocking the action of angiotensin II. This action lowers blood pressure and improves blood circulation, reducing strain on the heart.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack in high risk patients
• Blood pressure management in patients with diabetes or kidney disease (as prescribed)

DOSAGE
• Usual adult dose: 40 mg once daily
• May be taken with or without food
• Dose may be adjusted by a physician depending on blood pressure response
• Take at the same time each day for best effect

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, renal artery stenosis, or liver disease
