DESCRIPTION
MISARTAN80 Telmisartan Tablet 80 mg contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. As a result, blood vessels relax and widen, helping to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke or heart attack in high risk patients
• Management of blood pressure in patients with diabetes or kidney disease (as prescribed)

DOSAGE
• Usual adult dose: 80 mg once daily
• May be taken with or without food
• Dosage may be adjusted by a physician based on blood pressure response

PRECAUTIONS
