DESCRIPTION
RAMTREX Tobramycin + Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Suspension is a sterile eye drop preparation that combines tobramycin, a broad spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic, and dexamethasone, a corticosteroid. Tobramycin treats susceptible bacterial eye infections, while dexamethasone helps reduce ocular inflammation, redness, swelling, and irritation. The suspension is intended for topical ophthalmic use under medical supervision.

USES
• Treatment of bacterial eye infections with associated inflammation
• Management of conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and keratitis caused by susceptible organisms
• Control of post operative ocular inflammation where there is a risk of infection
• Relief of redness, swelling, and discomfort in inflammatory eye conditions

DOSAGE
• Adults: Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4–6 hours, or as prescribed by an ophthalmologist
• In severe infections, dosing may be increased initially, then reduced as symptoms improve
• Shake well before use
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface
• Use for the shortest effective duration as directed

PRECAUTIONS
• For ophthalmic use only
• Prolonged corticosteroid use may increase the risk of elevated intraocular pressure, glaucoma, cataract formation, or secondary infections
• Not recommended for viral, fungal, or mycobacterial eye infections
• Use with caution in patients with corneal thinning or pre existing ocular conditions
• Discontinue and consult a healthcare professional if no improvement is seen after a few days
• Remove contact lenses before use; reinsert only if advised by a healthcare professional
• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed

SIDE EFFECTS
Possible side effects may include:
