DESCRIPTION
RITEMED Amlodipine Tablet 5 mg contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine type). It works by inhibiting calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle, leading to relaxation and dilation of blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow to the heart muscle.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of chronic stable angina
• Treatment of vasospastic (Prinzmetal’s) angina
• Helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications associated with hypertension

DOSAGE
• Adults: One tablet (5 mg) once daily, with or without food, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Dose may be adjusted based on blood pressure response (usual range: 5–10 mg daily)
• Tablets should be taken at the same time each day

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment
• Caution in patients with heart failure or severe aortic stenosis
