DESCRIPTION
Ritemed Sildenafil 50 mg contains Sildenafil Citrate 50 mg, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor.
It works by increasing blood flow to specific areas of the body, particularly the penis, by relaxing blood vessels in response to sexual stimulation. It does not cause automatic erection without sexual arousal.

USES
Ritemed Sildenafil is used for:
• Erectile dysfunction (ED) (difficulty achieving or maintaining erection)
• Sometimes used under medical supervision for:
o Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) (different dosing/formulation)

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
• Usual dose: 50 mg taken as needed
• Take 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity
• Maximum frequency: once per day only
• May be adjusted to:
o 25 mg (if side effects occur)
o 100 mg (if 50 mg is not effective, under doctor advice)
Important guidelines:
• Take on an empty stomach or light meal for faster effect
• Avoid heavy or fatty meals (may delay effect)
• Requires sexual stimulation to work

PRECAUTIONS
Use with caution or avoid in patients with:
• Use of nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) → can cause dangerous blood pressure drop
• Heart disease or recent heart attack/stroke
• Low or uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Severe liver or kidney disease
• Retinitis pigmentosa (rare eye condition)
Other precautions:
• Avoid excessive alcohol (may reduce effectiveness and increase dizziness)
• Not intended for use by women or children
• Do not combine with other ED medications
• Consult doctor if erection lasts more than 4 hours (priapism)

SIDE EFFECTS
Common:

Serious (seek immediate medical help):
• Chest pain or fainting

• Sudden hearing loss
• Prolonged erection (>4 hours)
• Severe allergic reaction (swelling, difficulty breathing)
