DESCRIPTION
SEV C Sevelamer Carbonate Film Coated Tablet 800 mg is a phosphate binding agent used in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are on dialysis. Sevelamer carbonate is a non absorbed polymer that binds dietary phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract, reducing phosphate absorption and helping control serum phosphorus levels.

• Control of hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic kidney disease
• Used in patients undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis
• Helps prevent complications of elevated phosphate such as bone disease and vascular calcification

DOSAGE

• Typical adult starting dose: 800 mg to 1,600 mg three times daily
