DESCRIPTION
TGP AM EURO Allopurinol Tablet 300 mg is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor used to reduce high levels of uric acid in the blood. It works by decreasing uric acid production, helping to prevent the formation of urate crystals that can cause gout and certain types of kidney stones.

USES
• Long term management and prevention of gout
• Treatment of hyperuricemia (elevated uric acid levels)
• Prevention of uric acid kidney stones
• Control of high uric acid levels associated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults:
The usual maintenance dose is 300 mg once daily, or as directed by a physician based on uric acid levels and kidney function.
• Take after meals to reduce stomach upset.
• Drink plenty of fluids while on treatment.
• Use strictly as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not use if allergic to allopurinol
• Use with caution in patients with:
o Kidney or liver impairment
