DESCRIPTION
TGP Carvedilol Tablet 6.25 mg contains carvedilol, a non selective beta adrenergic blocker with additional alpha 1 blocking activity. It works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure, reduces the workload on the heart, and improves heart function.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of chronic heart failure
• Treatment of left ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction
• Reduction of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults (Hypertension): Usually 6.25–12.5 mg twice daily, depending on response
• Heart failure: Typically started at 3.125 mg twice daily, then gradually increased; 6.25 mg twice daily may be used during dose titration
Note: Carvedilol should be taken with food to reduce the risk of postural hypotension. Dosage must be adjusted by a healthcare professional.

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes, or peripheral vascular disease
• May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients
