MUPICORE Mupirocin Ointment 2% 5g
DESCRIPTION

MUPICORE contains Mupirocin 2%, a topical antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial skin infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, helping the skin heal and preventing the spread of infection.

USES
Treatment of impetigo
Treatment of infected cuts, wounds, and abrasions
Treatment of folliculitis
Treatment of secondary bacterial skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes
DOSAGE
Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily or as directed by a physician.
Treatment is usually continued for up to 10 days.
The treated area may be covered with a sterile gauze dressing if necessary.
PRECAUTIONS
For external use only.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes.
Do not use for viral or fungal skin infections.
Discontinue use and consult a physician if severe irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
Use only as prescribed and for the recommended duration.

Burning or stinging sensation at the application site
Itching
Redness
Dry skin
Rash
Rarely, allergic reactions or contact dermatitis may occur
STORAGE
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
Keep in a cool, dry place.
Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
Keep out of reach of children.
