Description
MUPICORE contains Mupirocin 2%, a topical antibiotic used to treat bacterial skin infections. It works by preventing bacteria from producing essential proteins needed for their growth and survival.
Uses
MUPICORE is used for:

Impetigo (a contagious bacterial skin infection)
Infected minor cuts, wounds, and abrasions
Folliculitis (infection of hair follicles)
Secondary bacterial skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Dosage and Administration
For external use only.
Adults and Children

Clean and dry the affected area before application.
Apply a small amount of MUPICORE ointment to the affected skin.
Use 3 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Treatment is usually continued for up to 10 days.
A sterile dressing may be applied over the treated area if required.

Missed Dose

Apply the missed dose as soon as remembered.
If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular schedule.
Do not apply extra ointment to compensate for a missed dose.

Precautions

Do not use if allergic to mupirocin or any of its ingredients.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes.
For external skin use only.
