DESCRIPTION
TGP Losartan Tablet 50 mg contains losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to constrict. This results in relaxation of blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart and kidneys.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy
• Protection of kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension
• Management of certain cardiovascular conditions as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults (Hypertension): Usually 50 mg once daily; may be adjusted to 25–100 mg per day, given once or in divided doses, depending on response
• Patients with volume depletion or liver impairment: Lower starting dose may be recommended

PRECAUTIONS
