DESCRIPTION
TGP Amlodipine Besilate Tablet 5 mg contains amlodipine besilate, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which improves blood flow, lowers blood pressure, and reduces the workload of the heart.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of chronic stable angina
• Treatment of vasospastic (Prinzmetal’s) angina
• Reduction of cardiovascular complications associated with high blood pressure

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 5 mg once daily; may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily depending on patient response
• Elderly or patients with hepatic impairment: Lower starting dose may be recommended
