DESCRIPTION
TGP Potassium Citrate Extended Release Tablet 1080 mg contains potassium citrate, an alkalinizing agent that helps make urine less acidic. It works by increasing urinary citrate levels and urinary pH, which helps prevent the formation of certain types of kidney stones. The extended release (ER) formulation allows gradual release of potassium citrate for sustained therapeutic effect and improved tolerability.

USES
• Prevention and treatment of kidney stones, particularly:
o Uric acid stones
o Calcium oxalate stones associated with low urinary citrate
• Management of hypocitraturia
• Helps alkalinize urine in certain metabolic or renal conditions
• Adjunct management of conditions requiring urinary alkalinization, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Dosage is individualized, based on urinary citrate levels, urinary pH, and clinical response
o Common dosing may be 1 tablet two to three times daily, or as directed by a physician
Administration instructions:
• Take with meals and a full glass of water
• Swallow tablet whole; do not crush, chew, or break
• Maintain adequate fluid intake unless otherwise advised

PRECAUTIONS
