DESCRIPTION
VASOTEC Enalapril Maleate Tablet 20 mg contains enalapril maleate, an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of congestive heart failure
• Improvement of survival following myocardial infarction
• Prevention of progression of kidney disease in patients with diabetes and hypertension, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults (Hypertension): Usually 5–20 mg once daily, depending on patient response
• Heart failure: Starting dose is lower and gradually adjusted as directed by a physician

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment or electrolyte imbalance

SIDE EFFECTS
