DESCRIPTION
ALLUJEN Allopurinol Tablet 300 mg contains Allopurinol, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body. It is used for the long term management of conditions associated with elevated uric acid levels, including gout and certain kidney disorders.

USES
• Treatment and prevention of gout
• Management of hyperuricemia (high uric acid levels)
• Prevention of uric acid kidney stones
• Control of elevated uric acid levels due to chemotherapy or cancer treatment
• Other conditions as prescribed by a physician

DOSAGE
• Adults:
Usually 100 mg once daily initially, then gradually increased as directed by a physician
• Maintenance dose: Up to 300 mg daily, taken as a single dose or in divided doses
• Take after meals to minimize stomach upset
• Maintain adequate fluid intake
Dosage may be adjusted based on uric acid levels and kidney function.
