DESCRIPTION
CONSAC Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3% contains tobramycin, a broad spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic formulated for topical ophthalmic use. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, resulting in the elimination of susceptible organisms. The solution is intended for the treatment of external ocular infections.

USES
• Treatment of bacterial eye infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:
o Conjunctivitis
o Blepharitis
o Keratitis
o Blepharoconjunctivitis
• Prevention and treatment of secondary bacterial infection in minor ocular trauma, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults and children:
Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4–6 hours, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• In severe infections, dosage may be increased initially, then reduced as improvement occurs
• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface or the eye
• Complete the full course of treatment as directed

PRECAUTIONS
• For ophthalmic use only
• Not effective against viral or fungal eye infections
• Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non susceptible organisms
• Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides
• Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment unless advised by a healthcare professional
• Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if irritation or hypersensitivity develops
• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed
