DESCRIPTION
PIOGLON Pioglitazone Tablet 15 mg is an oral antidiabetic medication belonging to the thiazolidinedione (TZD) class. It works by improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin in muscle and fat cells and by reducing glucose production in the liver, thereby helping to lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

USES
• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control

DOSAGE
• Adults:
The usual starting dose is 15 mg or 30 mg once daily, depending on patient response.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not use if allergic to pioglitazone

o Heart failure or fluid retention
