DESCRIPTION
SILGRAM Sultamicillin Tosylate Film Coated Tablet contains sultamicillin, an oral prodrug that is converted in the body to ampicillin and sulbactam. This combination provides broad spectrum antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis (ampicillin) and overcoming beta lactamase–producing organisms (sulbactam). It is effective against a wide range of gram positive and gram negative bacteria.

• Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
• Ear, nose, and throat infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Gastrointestinal tract infections
• Dental infections
• Gynecological infections
• Other infections caused by susceptible bacteria
Not effective against viral infections such as colds or flu.

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults:
Commonly 750 mg 2 times daily, depending on severity and type of infection
• Children:
Dosage is based on body weight and should be determined by a healthcare professional
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water and may be taken with or without food. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

PRECAUTIONS
