DESCRIPTION
TGP HIZON Rosuvastatin Film Coated Tablet 10 mg contains rosuvastatin, a lipid lowering medicine belonging to the statin class (HMG CoA reductase inhibitors). It works by reducing cholesterol production in the liver, thereby lowering total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL), and triglycerides, while increasing high density lipoprotein (HDL).

USES
• Treatment of hypercholesterolemia
• Management of mixed dyslipidemia
• Reduction of elevated LDL cholesterol and triglycerides
• Prevention of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke in high risk patients
• Adjunct to diet and lifestyle modification for lipid control

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 5–10 mg once daily; dose may be adjusted up to 40 mg once daily based on lipid levels and patient response
• Elderly or patients with renal impairment: Lower starting dose may be recommended
