DESCRIPTION
TGP Trimetazidine Hydrochloride Modified Release Tablet 35 mg contains trimetazidine, a metabolic anti ischemic agent. It works by optimizing energy metabolism in heart cells during reduced oxygen supply, helping protect myocardial cells without affecting heart rate or blood pressure. The modified release formulation provides prolonged therapeutic action.

USES
• Adjunct treatment of stable angina pectoris
• Improvement of myocardial energy efficiency in ischemic heart disease
• Supportive therapy in patients with coronary artery disease, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 35 mg twice daily, taken with meals
Note: This medicine is used as add on therapy and should not be used for acute angina attacks. Follow the physician’s instructions strictly.

PRECAUTIONS
• Not intended for the treatment of acute angina
• Use with caution in elderly patients
• Contraindicated in patients with Parkinson’s disease or related movement disorders
• Use with caution in patients with moderate to severe renal impairment
• Discontinue and consult a physician if movement disorders (tremor, stiffness) occur
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: use only if prescribed by a healthcare professional
