DESCRIPTION
LESIRHEU Colchicine Tablet contains colchicine, an anti inflammatory medication used primarily in the management of gout. It works by inhibiting microtubule formation and reducing the inflammatory response caused by uric acid crystal deposition in joints. Colchicine does not lower uric acid levels but helps control inflammation associated with gout.

USES
• Treatment of acute gout attacks
• Prevention of recurrent gout flares
• Adjunct therapy during initiation of uric acid lowering treatment (e.g., allopurinol, febuxostat)
• Management of other inflammatory conditions as prescribed by a physician

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Acute gout attack: Initial and follow up doses as prescribed, observing maximum dose limits
• Gout prophylaxis: 500 mcg once to twice daily, or as prescribed
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water. Do not exceed the prescribed dose, as colchicine has a narrow safety margin.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed recommended dosing due to risk of toxicity
• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment
• Contraindicated in patients with severe renal or liver disease when combined with certain medicines
