Indications: It is indicated over the counter and in prescription formulas to clear airway secretions in conditions associated with increased mucus. Carbocisteine capsules are used as a treatment for disorders of the respiratory tract associated with excessive mucus. Indicated in chronic and acute bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary emphysema and bronchial asthma.
The generic carbocisteine capsule contains:
-Carbocisteine 500 mg
The carbocisteine capsules can be used to treat the following:
-Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
-Bronchiectasis
-Pneumonia
-Pulmonary emphysema
-Bronchial asthma
How much and how often should you use the product?
Generic carbocisteine capsules are taken orally. Your doctor will inform you of the right dosage or number of capsules you should be taking each day based on your age, overall health, and medical conditions.
It is recommended that you should take one 500 mg carbocisteine capsule every 8 hours or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended.
