How much and how often should you use the product?
Tramadol capsules are taken orally. Your doctor will inform you of the right dosage or number of capsules you should be taking each day based on your age, overall health, and medical conditions.
Never use tramadol in larger amounts or for longer than prescribed. Inform your doctor immediately if you feel an increased urge to take more of this medication.
NEVER share tramadol with another person, especially one with a history of substance abuse. Misuse of tramadol can cause addiction, overdose, or even death.
Stop taking other opioid medication when taking tramadol.
Tramadol can be taken with or without food but take it the same way every time.

Usual Adult Dose for Pain:
Adults (17 years or older): 50 to 100 mg orally every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain

Severe asthma or breathing problems
A stomach or bowel obstruction(including paralytic ileus)
If you have recently used alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, or narcotic medications
If you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days (such as isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, or tranylcypromine)
Breathing problems, sleep apnea
Liver or kidney disease
Urination problems
Problems with your gallbladder, pancreas, or thyroid
A stomach disorder
Mental illness or suicide attempt
Seizures have been reported in patients taking tramadol. Your risk increases if you are taking higher than what is recommended.
Tramadol should not be used if you are suicidal or prone to addiction. Below are the possible side effects that you may experience from taking tramadol capsules. These side effects are possible but do not always occur. If you experience any of these side effects, stop taking the product and immediately consult with your doctor.
Noisy breathing, sighing, shallow breathing, breathing that stops during sleep
A slow heart rate or weak pulse
A light-headed feeling, like you might pass out
Seizure (convulsions)
Low cortisol levels
Constipation, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain
Dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness
Headache
Itching
