Description:
Cetirizine does not treat or prevent severe allergic reactions (such as anaphylaxis), hives, or other allergic reactions. It works by blocking a specific natural substance (histamine) that your body produces during an allergic reaction. Carry your epinephrine injector at all times if your doctor has prescribed it to treat allergic reactions. Cetirizine should not be used in place of epinephrine.
